PeeLog Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Operator: Yuya Sato (individual)
Applies to: the iPhone app "PeeLog" (Japanese name: 排尿メモ; the "App")

1. Information the Developer Collects

None. The App contains no account features, no advertising, no analytics tools, no tracking technologies, and no third-party SDKs (software components from outside companies). The Developer operates no server, and the App never sends your information to the Developer.

2. Where Your Records Are Stored

The records you enter in the App (time and amount of urination, urgency, leakage, notes; time, amount, and type of drinks; bedtime and wake-up times) are health-related information. All of them are stored only in a database on your iPhone and are never transmitted to the Developer or any other outside party. The App does not sync with iCloud.

If you have enabled whole-device backups as an iOS feature (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer), the App's data will be included in that backup. This is controlled by your device settings, and the Developer cannot access the contents of your backups.

3. Deleting Your Records

4. Sharing PDF Reports

PDF reports are created on your device. A PDF is passed to a recipient or another app only when you perform a share action yourself (AirDrop, email, printing, etc.). Because the PDF contains health-related records, please check the recipient carefully. Once shared, handling of the PDF is subject to the terms and policies of the receiving service.

The generated PDF file is kept in the App's own temporary storage area; it is overwritten the next time you create a PDF and may be deleted automatically by the operating system.

5. Device Permissions

The App uses no device permissions — no location, camera, photos, microphone, contacts, calendar, or Health (HealthKit) access. You will never see a permission request dialog from the App.

6. Purchase Information (Processed by Apple)

Purchases and restores of the paid feature are handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment-related information (your Apple Account, payment method, purchase history, etc.) is handled by Apple, and the Developer receives no information that identifies individual purchasers. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

In addition, if you have enabled "Share Analytics" in iOS settings, crash information and usage statistics may be collected by Apple. From this, the Developer can see only aggregated information that cannot identify individuals (such as crash counts). You can stop this sharing at any time in iOS under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

7. Information You Send Us When Contacting Support

If you contact us by email, your email address and the content of your inquiry are used only to reply and respond to you. They are never provided to third parties and are deleted within a reasonable period after your inquiry is resolved. Please note that we receive inquiries via Gmail, an email service by Google, so your email is processed and stored on Google's servers (which may be located outside your country).

8. For Users Outside Japan (GDPR and Similar Laws)

The App is self-contained on your device, and the only personal data the Developer obtains is the inquiry information described in Section 7 above. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR) applies, the legal basis for that processing is the Developer's legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry (or your consent implied by contacting us). To exercise rights such as access, rectification, or erasure of your data, please use the contact information below. The same applies to rights under US state privacy laws and other local laws where you live. The Developer never sells personal data and never shares it for targeted advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed for children. The Developer does not collect personal information from any user of any age.

10. Security

Your records are stored only on your device and are protected by iOS's standard safeguards (your device passcode and encryption). The Developer considers collecting no information in the first place to be the most fundamental security measure.

11. Changes to this Policy

Any changes to this Policy will be published on this page. For material changes, notice will also be given in the App or in the App Store update notes.
